Winners & Thanks
After a week outage due to changes to my webhost's services, we're finally back on-line. In the meantime, it seems that Belgian winners have been called yesterday. Although I didn't win anything this year (just like previous years), it was once again a fun year of nokiagaming (or should I say 20living)...

All that's left now is wait until the winners are announced on the official site, no doubt along with some new Phil Blitz footage... and it's time for the kudos.

So, many thanks go out to:
-Nokia, for making this game possible financially
-Marco Boender and the other people at Euro-RSCG 4D, for coming up with yet another great game and making it reality
-Dion, the NogaWorld-crew, Feedhorn and all the other die hard-fans for making 20lives a real community game and actually connecting people
-My fiancée, for putting up with a reduced me for a few weeks ;)

Another day, another wait
While most countries are still waiting for news about "who will win, who will loose", 20lives players in France, Spain, and the UK have recieved phonecalls from Nokia telling them they've won a phone. Here's a quick walkthrough for when you recieve your phonecall:

Nokia: Are you over [legal 'adult' age in your country]?
You: Yes

Nokia: What is your username?
You: [username]

Nokia: What is your password?
You: [password]

[OPTION 1: you gave the correct answers]
Nokia: Congratulation, you've won a [prize]

[OPTION 2: incorrect answers]
Nokia: Sorry, we'll have to call someone else.

Slogans
Now that the game's finished, people here and there are exchanging "slogans".
Here are some real slogans (not the conversation parts you had to provide) for the different characters:

Phil Blitz: Another day, another life
Bobby Hay: Another day, the same old song
Cat Wolfe: Another day, another jive
Zoe Brooks: Another day, another nosedive
Sean Martin: Another day, another stagedive
Gonzo Barber: Another day, another photo
Steve Sunday: Another day, another sound piece of advice from the oracle of the night!
David Ross: Another day, another drive
Victor Connoly: Another day, another fivethousand people fired
Dunya Cicek: Another day, another dream about life in the tropics
Jim Ricardo: Another day, another body cavity search
Constance Turner: Another day, another press conference
Linda Connoly: Another day, another special of the day
Andrew Rossi: Another day, another wife
Sarah Nichols: Another day, another role to play
Guy Edwards: Another day, another audition
Suzy Hansen: Another day, another painted face
Karl Neville: Another day, another dive off some building
Yourself: Another day, and then another day, and another, and another...

The last question
The last question has been answered, the slogans are sent, and now all we have to do is wait for the winners to be announce....

Meanwhile, let's just have some fun... Speaking of which: in the 'donwnloads' section you can find an MP3 of my response to Phil Blitz's final question! Check it out.

And finally
The final walkthrough & transcript are now on-line

Laserpen found!!
Diehard Nokiagame-fans have always had something with the famous laserpen. This year however, it turns out there really is such thing as a laserpen in the game. What's even more is that our earlier presumption that Victor has the laserpen turns out to be correct: if you closely examine the intro picture for Scene 2 of Constance, you see some weird thing on the left of Victor's desk (next to his wallet). It's sort of a stand with some pen in it, and as it turns out, it looks a lot like a smaller, silver colored version of this laserpen.

So the laserpen search seems to be over and Victor, indeed, has the laserpen!

Which price to choose
In the final life, you have to choose which of the grand prices you'd like to win... Tough choice, but here are a few thoughts that may help you decide:

Meet & Greet with a local artist: it doesn't say which artist, so it could be (in Belgium) Helmut Lotti, Eddy Wally, Dana Winner, or any one of those. On the other hand it may be someone good, too.

A day in de recoding studio: might be interesting, but do you get to record something yourself (if you can sing, that is), or is it just "watch and be silent"?

Parachutejump: Might be fun

Truck driving lessons: learning how to drive a truck is one thing... doing an exam for it can get a bit expensive here in Belgium, so no thanks!

Scooter: nice if you're young, but a bicycle is much healthier. And gasoline is expensive these days!

Guest DJ on national radio: Nice, but if you suck behind a mike, it may turn out to be a national disgrace...

Turntables and a mixing mixing console: nice if you want to do some DJing yourself of course... otherwise it's just one of those things that sit there collecting dust

To a golf coure by helicopter: Classy, that's true... But golf?

Luxury office chair: nice, if you have an office

Bodyguard training: nice if you want to become a bodyguard

Tour of the EU in Brussels: I could get that any time, so not so interesting to me

Cooking course from a famous chef: depends on who it is... Not Piet Huysentruyt, I hope!

Visit to the Grand Prix F1 in Monaco: nice if you're into F1

Acting workshop: all the world's a stage

Photo session: well, if you got the looks...

Directing workshop: if you want to make your own movies...

Spa weekend: well, that's something everyone could use after nokiagame, isn't it?

Stunt training: if you want to fall of buildings

Prepare to be.... yourself
About 12 hours from now, the finals will start. In the final life, you get to play "yourself". What this means exactly has been subject to some speculation, but it is clear that you will have to choose what grand prize you want to play for. So to prepare for tomorrow, you can already check the lives you've completed succesfully and pick the grand prize you'd like to win.

Today is also the last day you can compete in Nogaworld's 20Trivia, a (dutch) trivia game about 20Lives in which you can win a t-shirt.
